About the site

This site (launched 14 December 2008) has been created by an individual and is entirely hand-coded using Microsoft Notepad. It contains information about car wiper blades and its aims are three-fold:

1. To provide useful information about wipers
2. To see whether it is possible to get this site ranked on the first page of Google.co.uk for the search term 'windscreen wipers' by 30 June 2009. (Achieved)
3. To possibly generate revenue via affiliate links placed on the website. Any affiliate revenue will be channelled into Kiva - the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website and updates will be published on this page. (Results from launch to 31 August 2010 = £12.42 - not surprising since this site is not being actively marketed).
